Murray, Federer to Headline ESPN's Coverage of Gentlemen's Quarterfinals at Wimbledon

ESPN and ESPN2's "Cross Court Coverage" for Wimbledon's Gentlemen's Quarterfinals on Wednesday, July 6, will begin at 8 a.m. ET, headlined by a Centre Court doubleheader on ESPN with future Hall of Famers No. 2 SEED Andy Murray and No. 3 Roger Federer - a duo on track to meet in Sunday's Championship. Murray plays No. 12 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga after Federer faces No. 9 Marin Cilic, the 2014 US Open champion. On ESPN2 and No. 1 Court, No. 28 Sam Querrey of the U.S. who ousted No. 1 Novak Djokovic will challenge No. 6 Milos Raonic, followed by No. 10 Tomas Berdych vs. No. 32 Lucas Pouille.

Fans on the move or wishing to watch a different match on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis Club can choose the match they want on WatchESPN. Six of the top 12 seeds, No. 28 and No. 32.

13 Wimbledon finals: Federer - 10 (7-3), Murray - 2 (1-1), Berdych - 1 (0-1).
Head-to-head matchups: Murray leads Tsonga 12-2, Federer leads Cilic 5-1, and Querrey leads Raonic 2-1. Berdych and Pouille have never played.

Ladies' Semifinals Thursday - The Wimbledon Ladies' Semifinals on Thursday each have a Williams Sister - five-time champion No. 8 Venus vs. No. 4 Angelique Kerber, the Australian Open winner, and six-time winner Serena, the top seed, against Elena Vesnina. The unseeded 29-year old is making her first appearance in a Major semifinal.

Championship Weekend - The action will climax with the Ladies' Championship and the Ladies' and Gentlemen's Doubles Championships on ESPN on Saturday, July 9, and the Gentlemen's Championship on Sunday, July 10, followed by the Mixed Doubles Championship. By coincidence, that day will be full of championship competition from Europe as following the Wimbledon telecast, ESPN will air the final match of the UEFA European Football Championship 2016 live from Paris.
