"Meet the Press" was the most-watched Sunday morning public affairs hour on April 21, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The NBC broadcast drew 3.569 million viewers, topping This Week by +632,000, The Face the Nation hour by +727,000, and FOX News Sunday by +2,364,000.

MTP delivered an additional 1,000,000 total viewers and 377,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts - 289,000 total viewers and 124,000 viewers A25-54 on the network, and 711,000 total viewers and 253,000 viewers A25-54 on MSNBC.

In Washington, DC, MTP averaged 114,000 total viewers (3.9/11 HH), +178% ahead of FOX News Sunday's 41,000 viewers (1.5/4), +200% more than The Face the Nation hour's 38,000 (1.3/4), and +280% ahead of This Week's 30,000 (1.0/4).

Highlights:

MTP posted the largest audience growth week-to-week, marking its best total viewer and W25-54 rating deliveries since December 30, 2012 and highest A25-54 rating since January 27, 2013.
MTP averaged 3.569 million total viewers, +22% (+632,000) more than This Week, +26% (+727,000) more than The Face The Nation hour, and +196% (+2,364,000) ahead of FOX News Sunday.
In homes, MTP delivered a 2.5 rating and 7 share, ahead of This Week 's 2.1/6, The Face the Nation hour's 2.0/5, and FOX News Sunday's 0.9/2.
In rating A25-54, MTP delivered a 0.9 rating, +1 tenth more than This Week, +3 tenths more than The Face The Nation hour, and +5 tenths more than FOX News Sunday.
MTP averaged 1,064,000 A25-54 viewers, +15% (+140,000) more than This Week, +40% (+303,000) more than The Face The Nation hour, and +138% (+617,000) more than FOX News Sunday.

Sunday's special edition of "Meet the Press with David Gregory" focused on the Boston marathon bombing featured an interview with Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick (D); a discussion with House Intelligence Committee chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI), Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-IL), NBC News Justice Correspondent Pete Williams, former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Michael Leiter, and former Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff; as well as a roundtable conversation with NBC's Tom Brokaw, historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, the Wall Street Journal's Peggy Noonan, and The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg.
