French director Marie Noëlle's ("The Anarchist's Wife") sumptuous and captivating BIOGRAPHY of the great Marie Curie will have its DVD debut on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from Big World Pictures. An Official Selection of the Toronto International Film Festival, Marie Curie: The Courage of Knowledge stars Karolina Gruszka ("Inland Empire") in a breakthrough "wonderful performance!" (Washington City Paper) as the renowned Marie Curie, and co-stars Charles Berling ("Elle,") Piotr Glowacki ("Gods") and Arieh Worthalter ("The Take") in a provocative narrative that uniquely shifts focus to Curie's personal life.

Bookended by Nobel Prize ceremonies, "Marie Curie: The Courage of Knowledge" shows the life of Polish-born Curie in France between 1905 and 1911. The story delves into her complex relationship and her partnership in life and work with husband Pierre Curie (Berling), which takes an unexpected turn when Charles dies in an accident. Curie's scandalous affair with married mathematician Paul Langevin (Worthalter) adds further COMPLICATIONS to her life.
