Liv Tyler to Star in THE SIDE EFFECT

As first reported on Deadline.com, actress Liv Tyler is set to star in the upcoming film THE SIDE EFFECT, a thriller to be written and directed by Ti West. West is currently debuting his new horror film V/H/S at the Sundance film festival. THE SIDE EFFECT will be produced by Double Hope Films’ Ted Hope and Peter Phok.

Tyler will play the role of Catherine Rigby, a woman involved in a global pharmaceutical company's experiment in which she is put into space to spend an extended period time alone. While in space, Rigby discovers that she is inexplicably pregnant. As panic sets in, she begins to realize how her pregnancy came to be. 

In a recent interview, West praised Tyler's acting abilities commenting,“It was essential that I find an actress who could portray a wide range of emotion and always earn the audience’s sympathy no matter what the situation. As soon as I sat down with Liv, it was obvious she was the one.”
