Kate Burton to Return to ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY

As first reported on EWonline, actress Kate Burton is set to make a return appearance on the hit ABC drama GREY'S ANATOMY.  

The actress previously played the mother of Meredith, who had suffered from a severe case of Alzheimer’s disease.  She will return in the same role in an episode in which her daughter has a dream about what her life would have been like if her mother was still alive and healthy.  

As previously announced, Kate Walsh, who stars in the ABC spin-off 'Private Practice' will also be returning to the show to appear in the special episode. 

"Grey's Anatomy" stars Ellen Pompeo as MerEdith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, Sara Ramirez as Callie Torres, Eric Dane as Mark Sloan, Chyler Leigh as Lexie Grey, Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Kim Raver as Teddy Altman, Jessica Capshaw as Arizona Robbins, Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery and Sarah Drew as April Kepner. It is the recipient of the 2007 Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Television Series and multiple Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.
