Deadline reports that Director Jon Favreau's film adaptation of JERSEY BOYS is moving to Warner Bros. as a result of a first look deal with the film's producer Graham King and Tim Headington. The project was originally setup through Sony Pictures.

JERSEY BOYS is the winner of the 2006 Best Musical Tony Award, the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album and the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical. Directed on Broadway by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, JERSEY BOYS is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

The musical centers Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons' journey from the slums of Newark, New Jersey to the top of the music charts. The quintet sold 175 million records worldwide. The film will include classic songs like "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Rag Doll," "Oh What a Night" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You." The Broadway show has brought in over $1 billion dollars in revenue worldwide.

Production on the film is set to begin in January and will be released in theaters by Warner Bros for Christmas, 2013.
