Hurricane Sandy Broadway Update: ALL Monday and Tuesday Broadway Shows Cancelled

Service on NYC Transit subways and buses were curtailed beginning at 7 p.m, Sunday, October 28, and remain closed today along with Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North Railroad and New Jersey Transit. 

Broadway shows cancelled their Sunday evening and Monday performances preemptively yesterday, in advance of Hurricane Sandy which is expected to hit the city Monday evening. It was just announced that all Broadway shows will now be cancelled for Tuesday, October 30, as well. The duration of the service suspension is unknown, and there is no timetable for restoration. Service will be restored only when it is safe to do so, after careful inspections of all equipment and tracks. Even with minimal damage this is expected to be a lengthy process.
