Geoffrey Rush To Return For 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4'

Geoffrey Rush, who played Captain Hector Barbossa in the three previous 'Pirates of the Caribbean' films, will play the role again in 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides,' deadline.com reports. 

Geoffrey Rush's film credits include 'Shine,' for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor, 'Elizabeth,' 'Les Miserables,' 'Shakespeare in Love,' 'Quills,' and 'The Life and Death of Peter Sellars.'  He has also appeared in many stage productions including THE WINTER'S TALE, TROILUS AND CRESSIDA, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO, and Ionesco's EXIT THE KING, for which he won Outer Critics Circle, Theatre World, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Tony Awards.

Disney's 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film series follows the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), a crafty and charming pirate.  In addition to Depp and Rush, previous films in the series have featured Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.
