Digitalspy.com reports that Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly revealed over the weekend that changes are in store for Season Two of the Fox singing competition THE X FACTOR. The finale of Season One of the series aired in December with contestant Melanie Amaro taking home the show's grand prize of a $5 million record deal.

Speaking at the Television Critic's Association, Reilly revealed that while he was satisfied with the results of Season One of the show, there would be some "changes" made for next year's show. He did not elaborate further on details only adding, "There will be some tweaks to the show, but I'll tell you, I'm very happy to have it and it's gonna be part of us for a long time."

Rumors have circulated over the past several weeks that X FACTOR host Steve Jones was not asked back for the show's second season. When asked whether there was any truth to the reports, Reilly commented,  "The hosting gig, the only thing I will say, is, as we know, a much harder job than meets the eye. I think everyone has come to realize the value of a Ryan Seacrest. If you dialed the clock back 11 years, I'm not sure everybody in this room would have given him all the credit at that time. Those are very hard jobs to do. So whether Steve's the guy or not, it comes under the heading of 'growth' in general."
