For premiere week of season 20, ABC's THE VIEW averaged 2.666 million Total Viewers, 525,000 Women 25-54 and 381,000 Women 18-49 during the week of September 5, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "The View" scored double-digit increases week to week (1.909 million, 345,000 and 234,000, respectively, for w/o 08/29/16) in Total Viewers (+40%), Women 25-54 (+52%) and Women 18-49 (+63%). "The View" saw its best numbers in Total Viewers and Women 18-49 since July and top Women 25-54 performance since June - since weeks of 7/25/16, 7/11/16 and 6/13/16, respectively.
"The View" led CBS' "The Talk" (2.224 million, 384,000 and 260,000, respectively) during the week in Total Viewers (+442,000), Women 25-54 (+141,000) and Women 18-49 (+121,000). "The View" saw its largest leads in Total Viewers in 1 year, in Women 25-54 in more than 2 years, and in Women 18-49 in nearly 2 years - since weeks of 9/7/15, 5/12/14 and 11/24/14, respectively. "The View" improved on its season premiere week performance last year in Total Viewers (+6% - 2.666 million vs. 2.506 million for w/o 9/7/15). On its season premiere on Tuesday (9/6/16), "The View" improved on its year-ago premiere (9/8/15) in Total Viewers (+166,000 - 2.802 million vs. 2.636 million) and Women 25-54 (+21,000 - 571,000 vs. 550,000). In addition, "The View" premiere was its top telecast in Total Viewers, Women 25-54 and Women 18-49 since June - since 6/29/16, 6/13/16 and 6/28/16, respectively.
