Combat Reality Show Hosts Tie-Breaker For Final Spots
Maximum Warrior is a one-of-a-kind competition that tests 20 contestants in 15 action-packed, adrenaline-filled challenges. Presented by MAXIM, in partnership with the Jeep® Brand, Maximum Warrior just released its ninth webisode: BEAST OF THE EARTH. In this challenge, the Warriors were given one minute to aim, shoot, and hit as many pop-up targets as possible. Warriors were stationed in a shooting stall, given a GLOCK 17, and as much ammunition as needed to complete the task. The pressure was on, as the Warrior who hit the fewest targets was eliminated, and the other two advanced to the final challenge.
This challenge yielded results no one saw coming - a tie for second place. A tie-breaker elimination round was set in place for two Warriors, during which they went head-to-head for one minute and attempted to hit as many targets as possible. In the end, only one could move onto the final round with the Beast of the Earth challenge winner, Air Force Pararescueman, Luke D. He and Drew P. will be battling it out for the 2011 Maximum Warrior title.
Applying Military Skills:
The Beast of the Earth challenge, along with all 14 other challenges in the 2011 Maximum Warrior series, was designed to utilize the skills that men and women in the armed forces are required to use on a regular basis –quick reflexes, impeccable hand-eye coordination and excellent marksmanship. Challenge 9 forced the three remaining Warriors, Luke D., Drew P. and Louis P., to be prepared for anything that “popped-up” at them, just as it does in combat.
