Bruth Media premiered new a comedic musical web-series called Rock-Star Café on December 8th.

Fans of shows like “Party Down,””It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia,” and “Glee,” will delight at this new musical comedy about working at a singing diner at rock-starcafe.com.

Written and directed by Brayden Hade, with additional writing by Andrew Lynagh. The cast is led by Barry DeBois, Dasha Kittredge, Helen Highfield, Zach Miko, Kayle Blogna, Hannah Lapuh, Haley Selmon, Markesha McCoy, John Curcuru,, and Veronica Carr rounding out the principal cast. Songs by Kate Branagh, Monophonic Mass, and Sean Fournier are featured in the pilot presentation.

Rock-Star Café is loosely based on Hade’s own experience as a singing waiter. Rock-Star Café episode one tells the story of Tyler Van Sant, the “only” straight singing waiter in New York City. With the arrival of a new male server, Tyler must come to grips with the reality that being a server is less of a dream job than he originally imagined. Van Sant is played by Barry DeBois, recently seen in Bruth Media’s production of Neil LaBute’s The Shape of Things. The pilot showcases musical performances by Barry DeBois, Dasha Kittredge, and Haley Selmon.

Established in 2010 by Brayden Hade and Barry DeBois, Bruth Media functions as a high quality media lab for artistic collaboration. With background in multimedia, Bruth Media has produced several short films, live plays, photo series, music recordings, and graphic art creations in its infancy.

Rock-Star Café episode one hit the internet December 8th at rock-starcafe.com. Future episodes will be featured on the site after the winter holidays. Follow Rock-Star Café on twitter @RockStarCafeTV to get up to date announcements of future release dates.
