Early praises include:"Alternates between gorgeous piano based ballads and twangy rockers each wrapped in Dan Layus' warbled vocals and effortless melodies." - Alternative Press
"Augustana will steal your heart." - San Francisco Examiner
Hailing from San Diego, Augustana is vocalist/guitarist Dan Layus, guitarist Chris Sachtleben, bassist Jared Palomar, and drummer Justin South. The album was recorded in Los Angeleswith Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer Jacquire King, who is known for his work with Kings of Leon and Norah Jones, among others. The album delivers on what Alternative Press calls "the emotionally resonant, rootsy pop/rock that Augustana have become known for since launching themselves onto the scene with their major-label debut, 2005's All The Stars and Boulevards." The album reached No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, and spawned two Top 40 hits, "Stars and Boulevards" and "Boston," the latter of which was certified digital platinum. The band's follow-up, 2008's Can't Love, Can't Hurt spawned the singles "Sweet and Low," and "I Still Ain't Over You."Videos
