ABC's 'The Chew' Beat CBS' 'The Talk' by Its Largest Margins in the Show's History

For the 2016/17 season, ABC's "The Chew" celebrated its biggest win over CBS' "The Talk" in the show's history among key target Women 18-49 (+16% - 358,000 vs. 309,000) and Women 25-54 (+6% - 476,000 vs. 447,000) - ranking as the No. 2 broadcast talk series in daytime - and also outperformed nationally Syndicated series "Rachael Ray" (+28% - 358,000 vs. 280,000) and "The STEVE HARVEY Show" (+6% - 358,000 vs. 338,000). Throughout the season, "The Chew" reached 58 million Total Viewers across linear TV based on 10 minutes of viewing, or an average segment, and currently ranks an impressive No. 4 among the most visited sites on ABC.com.

Consumers' social appetite for "The Chew" continues to grow, amassing 3.8 million engagements for the 2016/17 season across key platforms, a huge 46% increase year over year. Moreover, "The Chew" has over 2.2 million followers across key social platforms for a reach of 2.1 billion, up by a considerable 64% over last season, and amassed nearly 59 million video views on Facebook alone.

3Q 2017:
During 3Q 2017, "The Chew" towered over CBS' "The Talk" for the 4th consecutive quarter among key target Women 18-49 (+21% - 302,000 vs. 250,000) and Women 25-54 (+13% - 405,000 vs. 358,000), marking its largest advantage in nearly 4 years in Women 18-49 and biggest win on record in Women 25-54. "The Chew" also easily beat nationally Syndicated series "Rachael Ray" (+29% - 302,000 vs. 235,000) and "The STEVE HARVEY Show" (+13% - 302,000 vs. 267,000) during the quarter.

For the week of September 18, 2017, ABC's "The Chew" out-delivered CBS' "The Talk" for the 15th consecutive week in key Women 18-49(+30% - 322,000 vs. 268,000), including by double digits for the past 6 straight weeks among the target demographic - dates back to weeks of 6/5/17 and 8/7/17, respectively. "The Chew" also easily beat "The Talk" by double digits for the 7th week in a row in Women 25-54 (+13% - 405,000 vs. 358,000) - dates back to week of 7/31/17.
