ABC Primetime Wins 2nd Straight Week in Adults 18-49 and Is Most Improved Year to Year

Driven by strong numbers for the season finale of "The Bachelor" as it closed out at season bests and the premiere of ABC's "American Idol" lifting Sunday to multiyear highs, the Network won the week in Adults 18-49(1.3/5 - w/o 3/5/18). Topping the first complete week in March by double-digit percentages, ABC beat NBC by 18% (1.1/5), CBS by 44% (0.9/4) and FOX by 63% (0.8/3). It was ABC's 2nd straight weekly victory in the key young adult sales demo.

  • ABC's primetime was the most improved year to yearamong the broadcasters, jumping from the same week last year by 20% in Total Viewers (5.3 million vs. 4.4 million) and by 18% in Adults 18-49 (1.3/5 vs. 1.1/4).

Rankings: ABC delivered 8 of the week's Top 20 TV programs in Adults 18-49, placing a network-leading 4 in the Top 10: "American Idol" - No. 4, "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" tied at No. 6, "Grey's Anatomy" - No. 10, "The Goldbergs" - No. 13, "Modern Family" - No. 15, while "Deception" and "Speechless" tied at No. 19
