Eddy Herrera presents 'Se Me Hace Agua la Boca,' his new single alongside Miriam Cruz. The collaboration brings together two prominent figures of Dominican merengue once again on a song that remains true to Herrera's style, combining a romantic melody with the danceable rhythm and playful sensuality that have characterized much of his repertoire.
Written by Enghel Mata and Eddy Herrera, with musical production by Juan Daniel Montero, 'Se Me Hace Agua la Boca' centers on a relationship in which desire and emotions are not moving at the same pace. He is deeply in love and wishes to receive the same kind of love in return, while she remains by his side primarily because of the strong physical attraction and chemistry between them. That tension runs through the story and ultimately leads into a direct, infectious chorus built around the expression that gives the song its title.
Miriam Cruz's participation introduces a vocal interplay that reinforces the dynamic between the two protagonists of the story and marks another musical encounter between the two artists. Herrera and Cruz had previously crossed paths on 'Te Pido Perdón,' alongside La Materialista, as well as on a live version of 'A Dormir Juntitos,' included on Agradecido (Live). They now come together again on a recording that blends their styles within a romantic and danceable proposal.
The official video for 'Se Me Hace Agua la Boca' was filmed at Vacacional Matua, directed by Maiter Valdez, with Bryan Ureña serving as director of photography. The visual premieres today simultaneously with the song's arrival on radio and digital platforms, via Eddy Herrera's official YouTube channel.
The release also follows Herrera's recent run of shows in Peru, where he performed five dates in Cajamarca, Nazca, Ica, Ayacucho and Arequipa. The tour concluded in Arequipa and continued an active international concert schedule that has taken the Dominican artist to stages outside his home country throughout 2026.
The new release also coincides with renewed momentum for 'Tú Eres Ajena,' one of the most recognized songs in his repertoire, which more than two decades after its release has once again gained traction across social media and connected with a new generation of listeners.
Adding to this moment is the recognition earned by Novato Apostador, the album that earned Eddy Herrera the Latin GRAMMY for Best Merengue/Bachata Album at the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards.
