DIA Will Release New Trap Single PIKETUA
The song follows DIA's six-track EP DAME UN BREi, ESTOY EN Mi, led by the single MISS COACHELLA.
DIA presents 'PiKETUA,' his new single, available beginning at 8:00 p.m. on August 21, 2026. Built around a trap foundation and a nocturnal atmosphere, the song explores the desire that remains between two people who have taken different paths but have yet to fully leave behind what once existed between them.
The story begins when a woman calls again at the worst possible moment. While he was trying to sort out his life and spending time with someone else, he could not stop thinking about her. She now has a boyfriend, but the renewed contact reignites his desire to know more about her and the possibility of returning to a connection that never completely disappeared.
Produced by Oceanvi, 'PiKETUA' combines a restrained trap foundation with immersive melodies and an intimate performance from DIA. The result is a song that moves between the tension of desire, nostalgia and the frustration of bad timing, while maintaining a sensual energy.
'PiKETUA' arrives just weeks after the release of DAME UN BREi, ESTOY EN Mi, DIA's six-track EP released on July 30, in which he explored a sound more heavily influenced by trap and R&B, led by 'MiSS COACHELLA.' With this new single, the artist continues exploring trap without leaving behind the emotionally driven songwriting and stories of relationships, attraction and unresolved conversations that have shaped his recent work.
The release also comes amid DIA's nomination for Premios Juventud 2026 in the La Nueva Generación Masculina category, as part of a year marked by new music and growing visibility for the Puerto Rican artist.
