Palm Beach Opera to Present OPERA @ THE WATERFRONT This December Palm Beach Opera will present Opera @ The Waterfront, its free, annual open-air concert, at the Meyer Amphitheatre in downtown West Palm Beach on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 2 pm.

Showcasing 150 musicians, the concert features opera arias and ensembles, as well as favorite Broadway melodies performed by Palm Beach Opera's Benenson Young Artists, Apprentice Artists, Orchestra, and Chorus, with special guest, The Ebony Chorale of The Palm Beaches.

"We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with The Ebony Chorale of the Palm Beaches after last season's successful Crossings Concert, which celebrated the musical threads that connect our two historically-rich genres," says General Director Daniel Biaggi, "It's wonderful to highlight South Florida's vibrant and diverse performing arts scene."

In its fifth consecutive year, Opera @ The Waterfront brings the experience of world-class, live opera to West Palm Beach's beautiful Intracoastal Waterway, with a dynamic repertoire that also includes a few selections from the company's upcoming season and a special ensemble number by The Ebony Chorale of the Palm Beaches. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets, as well as enjoy on-site food trucks. Face painting, temporary tattoos, and interactive craft stations will also available for children.

The full program will be made available on Palm Beach Opera's website on the day of the event, and will include translations for each aria and ensemble, as well as information on the artists and upcoming productions.

Guests can enhance their experience with the Opera @ The Waterfront VIP package, which includes champagne, wine, hors d'oeuvres, and a shaded seat. VIP tickets also grant guests admittance to an after-party for an opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists over drinks and dessert. Valet parking and chairs will be available. VIP tickets are $125. For more information, contact Alexandra Richter at 561-835-7576 or arichter@pbopera.org.

With an expected 4,000 guests in attendance, Palm Beach Opera's free, large-scale concert is produced in partnership with the City of West Palm Beach, and has gained additional support from Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Downtown Development Authority for the second year in a row.

This event is free and tickets are not required. Please visit Palm Beach Opera's website at pbopera.org for more details.
