BIO:
Fair Struggle is a hard?hitting Northern California modern / alternative rock band fronted by a powerful female voice. Fair Struggle was formed in the summer of 2011 by friends and guitarists Wayne Burkett and Ivan Parra. Wayne and Ivan had previously worked together for years on several projects but decided to take a step in a different direction and create a new band that was needed to fill a void in the Sacramento music scene. After an extensive audition process to find the right musicians, Jeremy Scheppler joined on bass and ultimately introduced the band to Meagan Morrison and her powerful, yet soulful / bluesy voice. In the early days of the band, Tommy Hartman, previously of “The Divine Romance”, worked with the band on all things percussion. Veteran drummer, Scott Garrett, with years of touring and studio tracking experience became the final piece of the puzzle to round out the line-up. Quickly developing into one of the Sacramento area’s premier acts, Fair Struggle’s hometown shows are most often as tour support for nationally touring rock acts. In 2012 they will share the stage with such bands as Modern Day Escape, My Darkest Days, Powerman 5000 (PM5K) and more to be announced. In June 2012, the band released their debut EP, “The Romantic Tragedy of the Spider and the Fly”, featuring the first single “Tear You Apart”.
