Soundgarden releases 'Ultramega OK'
October 31, 1988. Soundgarden releases their debut album through SST Records titled Ultramega OK. Two years later, the album would earn a Grammy Award nomination for Best Metal Performance.
In 1989, 'Louder Than Love' was released on September 5th. Soundgarden releases their second studio album Louder Than Love through A&M Records. This was the band's first album for a major label. Louder Than Love would become the band's first album to chart on the Billboard 200.
