k.d. lang is a pop and country singer-songwriter, occasional actress, and four-time Grammy Award winner. She ranked #33 on VH-1’s 100 Greatest Women in Rock & Roll in 1999 and #26 CMT’s 40 Greatest Women in Country Music in 2002, one of only eight women to make both lists. lang has teamed with musicians such as Roy Orbison, Tony Bennett, Elton John, Anne Murray, and Jane Siberry and has contributed songs to movie soundtracks.
