Zac Farro's HALFNOISE Announces Forthcoming EP FLOWERSS Out May 4th

Zac Farro's HALFNOISE is excited to announce its forthcoming EP Flowerss - due out May 4th via Nashville-collective Congrats! The band has also dropped the 70s-tinged single and title-track "Flowerss" today, which can be streamedHERE. Co-produced by Daniel James and Zac, the six-track EP was recorded at Nashville'sClub Roar and mixed by Carlos de la Garzo (Tegan and Sara, Ziggy Marley, Young the Giant). Earlier this month, HALFNOISE announced a handful of special headline dates on the West Coast, following closely on the heels of SOLD OUT shows in London, Nashville and New York City.

The brainchild of Paramore drummer Zac Farro, HALFNOISE originally formed as a solo creative outlet, but has evolved over the years into a full band comprised of some of his closest friends and creative collaborators. On the Flowerss EP, Zac's acute understanding of rhythm is on full display, often letting the drums and bass guitar lead the track's instrumental composition, while his attention to vocal melody remains front-and-center. The evolution of HALFNOISE's sound between 2016's Sudden Feeling LP and last year's The Velvet Face EP shows the band taking tones you would find on a record from The Beatles and presenting them with an updated psychedelic surf vibe akin to The Beach Boys.

Noisey recently broke down HALFNOISE's genetic makeup as "a fusion of indie rock that's part sunny and fruity, part trippy and psychedelic," and The FADER lauded the band's ability to blend "surf-rock's friendly intimacy with the broad, borderless horizons of psychedelia," whileBrooklynVegan compared it to the more contemporary "modern psych-pop of Tame Impala." Zac and company have also received glowing accolades from the likes of Billboard, Stereogum,Paper Magazine, DIY, What Youth and more across the band's recent studio releases, creative music videos, and colorful live shows.

HALFNOISE's new EP Flowerss is out May 4th via Congrats, and you can stream or purchasethe title-track today via all DSPs. The band hits the road again in March, heading to the West Coast for the first time in over 2 years - you can find the dates below and tickets are on sale now.
