By:

Showbiz411.com reports that Yoko Ono has earned a co-writer credit on John Lennon's "Imagine," released in 1971. The announcement came last night at the National Music Publishers Association made the announcement at a dinner they were holding. Changing the credit will add another minimum 28 years to the Lennon estate's ownership of the song which would have expired in 2041. At the dinner an audio tape was played in which John says Yoko should have gotten credit.

Yoko Ono (born February 18, 1933) is a Japanese multimedia artist, singer, songwriter, and peace activist who is also known for her work in performance art and filmmaking. She performs in both English and Japanese. She is the second wife and widow of singer-songwriter John Lennon of the Beatles.
