Watch Brooklyn Pop Auteur Arthur Moon Velvet Elk Studio Session

Arthur Moon is presenting a live rendition of the expansive Our Head EP opening track - fans can now see the video of the studio performance exclusively via Impose Magazine. Recorded on location at label HQ, the Velvet Elk Session adds a cool, acoustic edge to the melodic studio version of "Room". WATCH "ROOM" HERE

Songwriter Lora-Faye Åshuvud reflects on the creation of the track:

"I wrote many of the lyrics for "Room" with a cut-up poem I made from an IKEA catalog, which is appropriate given that the song riffs on a feeling of domestic panic."

Don't miss the dynamic Arthur Moon live performance May 13 at Brooklyn's C'mon Everybody, with support from Erica Eso and Raia Was (tickets here).

Arthur Moon is the moniker of composer/singer Lora-Faye Ashuvud, whose unconventional, polymathic approach to composition evokes the idiosyncratic ethos of bands like Radiohead, St. Vincent, and tUnE-yArDs. Ashuvud writes her lyrics using cut-up newspaper and magazine articles, and describes the process of composing the music as similarly collage-like. "On the best days," she said in a recent interview with LPR, "it feels kind of like playing a rousing game of Exquisite Corpse - except only with myself."
