Harnessing the alluring vocals of Deidre Muro (Deidre & the Dark, formerly of Savoir Adore), the inventive production of David Perlick-Molinari (French Horn Rebellion, MGMT producer) and the atmospheric guitar-scapes of Derek Muro (Love Like Deloreans, Mighty Five), the music of Violet* Sands is an ethereal soundtrack for a rite of passage.

Today the band reveals its first new music of 2017 - the glitch-pop, neon-infused single "Hello, I'm Free" which is currently featured in the Spotify's "Discover Weekly" Launch Campaign (1.1M views) and announces an upcoming show at NYC's Mercury Lounge March 31st with French Horn Rebellion.

"'Hello, I'm Free' is about letting go, it's about the modern imperative not to get lost in a world of distractions," explains Deidre of the inspiration behind the song.

The Brooklyn-based trio - who own and run Williamsburg's YouTooCanWoo Studios - craft tripped-out pop music for grown ups, a dreamy mix of early influences including The Cure, Peter Gabriel, Fleetwood Mac, Cocteau Twins, and Mariah Carey fused with modern electronica genres and production techniques.

After quietly uploading "No Matter What" (91K views, vimeo staff pick) at the start of 2016, Violet* Sands began to gain listeners and be featured in emerging music outlets including Nylon, Noisey, HillyDilly, and more with the release of the debut Strange Attractor EP (over 100K SC streams). Look out for a brand new wave of Violet* Sands music in the coming months and much more on the horizon
