Saturday June 14 at 7:30pm: Aztec Two-Step

More than 40 years since they formed, Aztec Two-Step's songs haven't aged at all. This traditional folk/rock duo, comprised of guitarists and singers Rex Fowler and Neal Shulman, has been acclaimed for their entire career by such prestigious publications as The New York Times, Billboard, and Variety among many others. Their powerful lyrics, sweet-sounding acoustic guitar chords, and graceful melodies are a product of their influences: Bob Dylan, James Taylor and Simon & Garfunkel, the latter of which they released a live tribute album in 2008. They also collaborated and performed with a never-ending list of musicians and bands, including Michael Bolton, The Beach Boys, Bon Jovi, and Bruce Springsteen. Celebrating their 40th Anniversary, they will perform some of their legendary songs, along with songs and arrangements from their last album Cause & Effect. They return to SubCulture for another wonderful performance.
