The Kentucky Center presents Cuban sensation Tiempo Libre in the Bomhard Theater tonight, January 30 at 8 p.m.

The three-time Grammy-nominated Cuban music group Tiempo Libre is one of the hottest young bands today. Equally at home in concert halls, jazz clubs and dance venues, Tiempo Libre's Miami-based members are true modern heirs to the rich tradition of the music of their native Cuba. Classically trained at Cuba's premier conservatories, today the group is a hit in the U.S. and abroad, celebrated for its sophisticated performances oftimba, a joyous mix of high-voltage Latin jazz and the seductive rhythms of son.

The band recently released "My Secret Radio" on Sony Masterworks, and previous albums "Bach in Havana" (Sony Masterworks), "Arroz Con Mango" (Shanachie) and "Lo Que Esperabas" (Shanachie) were nominated for Grammy Awards.

Tickets start at $25, reserved seating, fees apply. Kentucky Center Members call the Member hotline at 502-562-0144.
