Talos New Album FAR OUT DUST Out This Friday

Irish artist Talos -- aka Eoin French -- will release his sophomore album, Far Out Dust, on BMG this Friday. In celebration, Talos are debuting the title track from the album today.

Of the track, French says: "The essence of 'Far Out Dust' is the feeling of being cast out into this unknown and then coming back with all these fragments of something you can put back together. It's the moment of transition when everything collapses into one."

"Far Out Dust" follows two other amazing songs from the album, "The Light Upon Us" and "See Me," both of which have been featured on a batch of influential playlists (New Music Friday UK, Chill Vibes, Sad Indie) since their release.

Talos recently released a brilliant video for "The Light Upon Us" as well - watch it HERE.

Following a run with Peter, Bjorn and John late last year, Talos will be returning to America this winter supporting Aurora, in addition to playing this year's SXSW in March. All tour dates are below.

Far Out Dust -- a stunning blend of organic and electronic music with a gorgeous sense of discovery and wonder -- was written and recorded all over the globe, including New York City, Los Angeles, London, Dublin, Cork, and Reykjavik. Where Talos' acclaimed debut, Wild Alee, was a solitary affair about isolation and escape,Far Out Dust finds Talos embarking on new journeys, drawing strength and comfort from lived experience and deep human connection. The result is both his most ambitious songwriting and most sophisticated studio work, a collection that radiates with creative confidence even as it wrestles with the pain of doubt and regret.

French and his longtime production partner Ross Dowling (James Vincent McMorrow, Bell X1) shouldered much of the instrumental load on the album, in addition to working with producers like Doug Schadt (Maggie Rogers, Wet), Valgeir Sigurðsson (Sigur Ros, Feist) and Damian Taylor (Bjork, Arcade Fire), who also contributed a number of mixes. They then handed over to mastering duties to Emily Lazar (Coldplay, Angel Olsen).
