THE SECRET STATE has arrived and is exploding onto the music scene with their new hit single, "The Biggest Mistake." The official video for the song has become a viral sensation with over 34 million views in just over two months: http://youtu.be/DEY_zh0Cxh8. The track, an infectious, propulsive and soaring pop/rock song, is receiving national airplay on over 30 Top 40 and Hot AC stations as well as significant support from Sirius XM's 20 on 20 (Channel 3), where it currently sits at #13 on their playlist.

"There are many issues that can come up in a relationship and one unfortunate problem is where one partner leaves another during their hardest struggle in life," the band explains. "'The Biggest Mistake' is inspired by a situation where the girl leaves the guy during his time of struggle to become somebody. When he finally becomes successful and reaches his goal, she wants to come back into his life. This song is telling the girl that she won't be taken back and she was the one who made 'The Biggest Mistake.'"

The Baltimore natives recently relocated to Los Angeles to write and record their debut full-length album for release in early 2013. In anticipation of the album release, THE SECRET STATE has announced that a very special rhythm radio remix of "The Biggest Mistake" will be released soon and will feature vocal cameos from two worldwide pop/hip hop superstars. Information on the remix will be unveiled soon.

THE SECRET STATE--Dan Martiniano (Lead Vocals, Piano), Josh Jones (Guitar, Vocals), Hunter Schafer (Bass, Backup Vocals), Danny Espinosa (Digital Performer) and Mike Marx-Gibbons (Drums & Violin)--almost ended before they began. Following the events of 9/11, three of the band members (Dan, Josh and Mike) decided to place their music careers on hold to serve their country and were deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq as part of the U.S. Army and Special Ops. Upon returning home, the band immediately began working on new music and the result is a unique rock, electronic-tinged sound paired with heartfelt lyrics.

As Martiniano explained to M.U.S.E. (Music Unity Sports Entertainment) on the set of "The Biggest Mistake" video shoot, "Honestly, we're lucky to be here. We're lucky to play the music that we play and have people follow us. We care about our fans; we want to give them good music, so we feel like we're in a great direction right now."

THE SECRET STATE recently performed a radio tour throughout the South hitting various markets in Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee. Dubbed the "Turkey Tour," the band performed for several TV and radio stations and gave away gift cards for groceries and gas, along with pre-cooked turkeys and Thanksgiving turkey dinner certificates, to callers and contest winners on-air in each city. "We were fortunate to have the chance to go out and perform for our fans at the beginning of this holiday season and were extremely excited to give back to the listening community with the turkey dinners, gift certificates and gas cards," shares the band. "We hope everybody enjoyed them and we appreciate the support of all the music fans out there."

As a result of the radio tour, THE SECRET STATE have been invited by KVLY 107.9FM in McAllen, TX to perform at their annual holiday show. As Alex Duran, program director for the station noted, "THE SECRET STATE came in to my town with a few fans and after their performance LIVE in-studio, they left with tens of thousands now. So that is why I added them on my Christmas show on December 17 and my sales went to another level." THE SECRET STATE join a previously announced lineup featuring Flo Rida, Daddy Yankee, Andy Grammer, Chris Wallace and The Ready Set. MIXMAS 2012 takes place on Monday, December 17 at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, TX; doors open at 6:00pm.

THE SECRET STATE, previously known as Alice Anna, has performed alongside national acts such as Hinder, Jack's Mannequin, Tantric, Shinedown and many more. After winning countless "Battle of the Band" competitions and playing night after night at bars, festivals and concert venues, the group earned a reputation for their unrivaled music and energetic performances which led them to perform three consecutive years at the famed South By Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, TX and gain national critical acclaim. The band has also earned fans in Akon, Ray J and Nicole Scherzinger.

The quintet's previous single and music video "Say It's Over" has been viewed over 14 million times: http://youtu.be/yEtrOmBJxEQ. Their YouTube videos have amassed over 50 million views in total. The momentum is only sure to be build once the band releases their debut album.
