Stratosphere All-Stars Play the Fox Theatre Tonight

It all happened on one special night in late March of 2015 at a sold-out Brooklyn Bowl. The "Core Four" of the band, made up of Mike Greenfield (Lotus/Electron), Steve Molitz (Particle/Phil Lesh & Friends), David Murphy (formerly of STS9), and Marcus Rezak (Digital Tape Machine), surrounded by several special guests, put on a show that exceeded all expectations. Playing various covers by groups such as LCD Soundsystem, the Grateful Dead, Talking Heads, Disclosure and more, including some free-form improvisational jams, the energy the Stratosphere All-Stars created was something truly remarkable that doesn't happen all too often.

The magic that occurred on that night between the band and fans in attendance begged the question of whether or not these experienced and well-traveled stalwarts of the jam scene would perform some more shows and create original music together. The answer to that inquiry was a resounding yes!

Along with the main members of the group, their live shows will feature both original music and covers of their favorite artists, along with special guests from various acts in the scene, making each show a unique and different experience from city to city.

For this Colorado run, we are happy to announce that Allen Aucoin of the Disco Biscuits will be taking over behind the kit for the Stratosphere All-Stars. Expect very special guests and some next level playing as we celebrate Jerry Garcia's birthday on this special night at The Fox.
