Multi-award-winning TV mastermind Ryan Murphy has confirmed numerous new details about the hit FOX musical dramedy series Glee and what viewers can expect from final season, as well as sharing thoughts on how the final scene will be different now that series star Cory Monteith has died, as part of a new interview.

After previously confirming that he had a final scene in mind before Monteith unexpectedly passed away of a drug overdose last year, Murphy shared, "I did. I don't anymore, but I think it will be emotional."

Additionally, Murphy says the planned and now abandoned finale involved "star-crossed lovers getting together and having a happy ending and them both getting their dreams."

Murphy now concludes, "The fact that that can't be is a big pain in all of our hearts,"

GLEE returns for its final season in 2015.
