Rob DelGaudio Releases CAMPFIRE SONGS Album Today

Rob DelGaudio, BMI musical theatre composer and elementary school music teacher, is releasing his album titled 'Campfire Songs' today, March 1st, 2016.

The album began with an Indiegogo campaign to help fund the Campfire Songs Project. 'Campfire Songs' is a thematic album of original campfire songs with a theatre twist Proceeds will benefit SCOPE & the National Inclusion Project (Clay Aiken's charity), two organizations that help underprivileged kids and children with disabilities go to summer camp.

Some of the featured performers on the album are Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture, Les Miserables), Bennett Sullivan (Bright Star), Eric Michael Krop (Godspell), Andrew Kober (Les Miserables, Hair) , F. Michael Haynie (Wicked), Jared Weiss, Emily Kay Shrader and the Westchester Youth Chorus.

Of the Campfire Songs Project and mission, Songwriter, Producer & Creative Director, Rob DelGaudio said, "Summer camp is an opportunity for kids to be exposed to the very best of human character. It is a place designed to create happy memories and encourage self­expression. I think every kid deserves an unforgettable summer like the ones I had, the kind that stay in your heart forever. These songs are odes to childhood summers, nights around the campfire, ghost stories, old friendships, but with a musical theatre twist! The instrumentation is very organic featuring acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin and hand percussion to get that earthy, around the campfire sound. You will also definitely hear the influence of one of my favorite songwriters, Brian Wilson. I love that Beach Boys harmony sound and I'm always trying to recreate in my arrangements. This is an album that combines musical theatre with a campfire songs sound."

Rob DelGaudio is a songwriter, composer & elementary school music teacher. He is an alum of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre workshop. His and David Alan Thornton's song "Smile" was selected among the Top 25 Contemporary Musical Theatre Songs of 2013. His music was featured in Pantomonium Production's Beauregard and the Beast (2015) & Rapunzel (2013).
