Rumorfix, reports that guitarist Richie Sambora may have been fired from New Jersey-based rock band Bon Jovi. The musician has been absent from the group's current tour for the past several months.

Sources claim that finances are at the root of the conflict among the band members who have played together for the past 30 years. According to the report, Sambora currently takes in $2 million a month and 20 percent of the profits from each show, while his replacement earns a mere $10,000 a month.

The band recently issued a statement citing "personal issues" as the cause of Sambora's departure from Bon Jovi's tour last spring. A USA TODAY request for a statment from Bon Jovi's record company was denied.
