Paul Weller begins his eagerly anticipated U.S. tour in support of his critically acclaimed album A Kind Revolution in Long Island, NY at The Paramount Theatre on October 1, followed by two shows at Irving Plaza in New York City on October 2 and 3. In celebration, Weller will release two of the stand-out tracks from the album digitally today, September 29.

"The Cranes Are Back" ("One of the most beautiful things Weller has ever done" - The Guardian) is available to download in an edited version, while "One Tear" will be featured in three different remixes plus an instrumental version, with a digital bundle available today, followed by a limited 12" vinyl edition to be released on November 10.

Frequently singled out as one of the best songs on the album, the pulsating disco-esque funk of "One Tear" - featuring the intertwined vocals by the venerable Boy George - is remixed by Thomaas Banks aka Tom Coveney, one half of the prolific U.K. duo Psychemagik. Prof. Kybert and The Meeq provide alternative remixes. The "One Tear" mix bundle track-listing is as follows:

1. One Tear - Black Petal Remix - Thomaas Banks
2. One Tear - Travesty Remix - The Meeq
3. One Tear - Club Cut Remix - Prof. Kybert
4. One Tear - Instrumental

On October 3, Weller and band will perform his current U.K. single "Woo Sé Mama" live on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Tune into CBS stations at 11:35 P.M. ET / 10:35 P.M. CT. Watch the video of a live version of "Woo Sé Mama" from Weller's recent sold out show at Watford Colosseum here.
As previously announced, Weller will also release a brand new, thought-provoking track entitled "Mother Ethiopia" --presented in three parts-- on September 29.

"Mother Ethiopia" sees Weller exploring new musical avenues and this release takes a very different sonic direction from the sound of his latest album.
"Part 1" enlists the help of modern soul band, Stone Foundation - Weller has been a fan of theirs for some time, producing and appearing on their latest album Street Rituals, which was also released earlier this year.
Alongside the collaboration with Stone Foundation, there are two alternate versions of "Mother Ethiopia" - one with Bongo Bob, and the other a vocal version featuring London-based Ethiopian 3-piece Krar Collective with the lead vocals (in Amharic) by Krar's Genet Assefa.
The track is available to download/stream now, with a limited edition 12" vinyl available September 29.
Mother Ethiopia track-listing:
1. Mother Ethiopia Part 1 (Paul Weller Vs. Stone Foundation)
2. Mother Ethiopia Part 2 (feat. Bongo Bob)
3. Mother Ethiopia Part 3 (No Tribe No Colour) [feat. Krar Collective]

Meanwhile Weller's current internationally acclaimed album A Kind Revolution continues to garner critical praise:
"An album that ranks among his finest work." - MOJO (5/5 - U.K.)
"An excellent set of 10 richly-detailed yet uncluttered songs which prolong his creative renaissance...carefully crafted settings updating his classic sounds with some exquisite playing." - Associated Press
"This is a master craftsman, who knows how to cobble together a verse, chorus, bridge and middle eight as well as any McCartney or Bacharach." - Uncut (8/1 - U.K.)
"A Kind Revolution is a testament to his industriousness but also his restlessness. Paul Weller will always find a way to change himself into something new." - SPIN
"Weller hasn't been this melodic since his Style Council days. If A Kind Revolution is a gentler offering than his last few albums, it retains the spark and vitality that has seen the man's recent output match his best." - The Sunday Times (U.K.)
"A Kind Revolution puts its finger on the pulse better than any if its predecessors. It captures the spirit of the age. What makes A Kind Revolution so engaging -- the album's restlessness is tied to its humanism, and its nervous energy reflects a willingness to fight for what's good." -- SLANT
"Possibly the most melodic record of his recent career. Not since the pop flights of The Style Council have there been so many great tunes on a Weller album. Every song is a standout." - Classic Rock (8/10 - U.K.)
Paul has just completed a successful European tour, and now heads off on a 20 date tour of the U.S. and Canada. Tour dates in Australia and Japan are slated for January 2018 and another tour of the U.K. and Ireland is set for February.
