Paul McCartney Lead Guitarist Issues New EP 'Rusty Anderson Afternoon II'
This past weekend, longtime Paul McCartney Lead guitarist Rusty Anderson celebrated the official 2014 release of his new album 'Rusty Anderson Afternoon EP II' with a gala performance at the Fullerton, CA Leo Fender Museum.
Anderson and fellow Los Angeles native Todd O'Keefe comprise the new band 'Rusty Anderson Afternoon,' and they've already earned success with the first single from the EP, "Effortless," which hit Number One on Sirius Radio "20 on 20." The success of "Effortless" has been followed by the second single from the EP, a cover of 10cc's "I'm Not in Love," which is currently in rotation on Sirius Radio's "The Blend."
Anderson's "Effortless" breakthrough on Sirius Radio also earned 'Rusty Anderson Afternoon' a showcase at SXSW this spring, including performing in the star filled closing ceremony tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Now with a Number One single and another song getting radio action, the band 'Rusty Anderson Afternoon' officially celebrates their first album release.
