Raleigh, NC Americana band, New Reveille, who recently signed a label and management deal with Loud & Proud Records, will release The Keep on September 7, 2018. "We're so excited to share our new music with everyone," says Daniel Cook. "The Keep came together very organically, and with the input from our producer Ben Fowler, and some amazing guest performers, the album just kept evolving throughout the process. We can't wait to perform the new songs live, and also to see what's next for us!"

  1. Reveille's distinctive talents find common ground in traditions that stretch back to and beyond early America. On that foundation, they build a unique sound that encompasses the virtues of music that came before and the promise of what it might yet become. Amy Kamm dances deftly on lead vocals between artful interpretive solo parts and three-part female harmonies that somehow soar, caress, and electrify all at once. Daniel Cook (banjo/guitar) and George Hage (guitar) avoid flashy patterns, and instead hearken back to a pre-bluegrass era. Kaitlin Grady on cello, adds a classical element, while blending with Autumn Brand on violin to create mini-orchestral textures and melodies. The songs vary. Lyrics conjure ominous visions and premonitions. Songs are more narrative. They feel personal but also literary, like some sadness from the past preserved in the poetry of song. Their music resonates and grows with each new hearing.

"Hounds," New Reveille's first single and video, which will go to radio at the end of July, addresses karma, and how one's past eventually converges with the present. The title track, "The Keep" was inspired by Amy Kamm's experience working as a nurse at a prison.

New Reveille self-released an album, Cannonball in 2013, quickly sold out their very first show at Deep South The Bar and soon were playing to standing room only crowds with their powerfully crafted songs, incredible showmanship, and eclectic live shows. They also won the prestigious American Advertising Gold Addy award for their "Babylon" video (over 155,000 views on YouTube) which Daniel Cook produced, edited, and co-directed.

The band name, New Reveille, a tribute to Cook's military grandfather who played reveille in the mornings, could also mean a "new awakening," which is how the band members view their signing to Loud & Proud Records, and what it means for their future.

Pre-orders are available now through New Reveille's PledgeMusic store. Exclusive items are also available including various signed items, hand-written lyrics, instruments, unique experiences such as Skype cello or violin lessons, an acoustic house concert, and more. All pledgers will get an instant track download of an early recording of the song, "Miracle."
