MYSO Presents Winter Concert in Uihlein Hall 2/4
MYSO will hosts its Winter Concert featuring MYSO's Philharmonia, Junior Wind Ensemble and String Orchestras North and South. The performance will include works of Borodin, Telemann, Rimsky-Korsakov, Persichetti, Grieg, Humperdinck, De Falla and more.
Tickets: $12; $9 for students and seniors, available at the Marcus Center Box Office.
About the orchestra: "Celebrating 56 years of excellence, Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) has been instrumental in changing the lives of young people since 1956 when it began as a single orchestra of 30 musicians. Since its early beginnings, it has grown to become, by several measures, the largest and most extensive youth orchestra program in the country. Serving more than 900 talented young musicians from as many as 14 counties in southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, this award-winning program offers the highest level of training in ensemble musicianship to motivated young people from diverse backgrounds."
