Torches & Pitchforks, the anticipated new album from Nashville-based band MONA, is out now on Mercury Records. The album follows the band's 2012 self-titled debut, which Spin magazine describes as "...full of broad rock gestures and sticky hooks..." and Interview magazine praises "...powerful, passionate songs that sound like classic rock." In celebration of the new album, MONA is in the midst co-headlining tour with the Limousines. On August 21, the band performed a special sold-out show at London's The Borderline. The performance sold out in 24 hours. Please see below for a list of upcoming tour dates.

A full album stream is currently available at RollingStone.com. Additionally, a basement-shot video for the album's first single, "Goons (Baby I Need it All)," which Rolling Stone describes as "...a raucous, joyous basement performance of their aptly titled howl-along cut," can be viewed here. Released to widespread acclaim, Spinner praises, "the track kicks off with a unique guitar tone that morphs into a screaming chorus: Think the Clash, if the U.K. band had grown up in the Ohio River Valley, combined with a whole lot of Midwest angst."

Self-produced by the band at their basement studio in Nashville, the 14-track album was mixed by veteran Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons, the 1979). Of the latest album, MONA's Nick Brown (lead vocals, guitar, chief songwriter) says, "We don't have any expectations as to what this album will sell or how critics will review it. As artists, we're really proud of it and I think our fans-the MONA Cult-will be, too. And that's why you start a band...to form a rallying point to relate to the rest of humanity." In addition to Brown, the album features band members Jordan Young (guitar), Zach Lindsey (bass, guitars, and band barber) and Vince Gard (drums and percussion).

Since their 2012 debut, MONA has performed sold-out shows with fellow Mercury artist Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, performed on NBC's "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," won the MTV/UK VMA as "Brand New For 2011" and was nominated on BBC's influential "Sound Of 2011" poll.
