New York's MisterWives is excited to announce their first official release,Reflections, due out on January 7th, 2014 via a newly inked deal with Photo Finish/Island Records. The six-song EP will feature three brand new tracks - "Twisted Tongue," "Imagination Infatuation," and the title track "Reflections" which was produced by Frequency (recent credits include Eminem feat. Rihanna's "The Monster"). The set will also feature three previously released songs - "Coffins," "Kings & Queens," and "Vagabond" - that were re-mixed by Grammy nominatedNeal Avron (Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Sara Bareilles) and re-mastered for the forthcoming release. News of the release comes as the band is currently out on the road with buzz bands American Authors and The Royal Concept. The nationwide tour kicked off on November 7th in Charlotte, NC and will continue for the next month, wrapping up in St. Louis on December 19th.

MisterWives - Mandy Lee (Vocals), Etienne Bowler (Drums), Will Hehir (Bass) - began making music together in late 2012. Lee was born and raised in Queens and acts as the band's principal songwriter and lead vocalist. She studied songwriting and opera at NYC's only specialized public high school for music and performing arts, laying a foundation for her incredible range and giving her the ability to explore a wide variety of vocal styles. Lee met Hehir through a mutual friend and shortly thereafter was introduced to Bowler, a Bronx native, while the two were working at restaurants a block away from one another in Manhattan. The three shared a mutual love for music and similar aesthetic sensibilities and banded together to form the core of MisterWives. When it came to time to round out the live band, Bowler brought old friends Jesse Blum (Keys/Trumpet/Accordion) and Marc Campbell (Guitar) on board. They played their first show together this February in Manhattan and grabbed the attention of Photo Finish, who offered MisterWives a deal shortly after. Although a new band, their sound was focused and self-assured, quickly earning them over 300,000 plays on SoundCloud and a slew of blog love, including early nods from Pigeons and Planes, Earmilk, Neon Gold and more.

In October, the band hit the road with Half Moon Run on their first national tour. The tour ended with a two triumphant sets at this year's CMJ Festival, where the band played packed hometown shows atBowery Ballroom and The Studio at Webster Hall. MisterWives was included in many best of CMJ roundups: Paste included them in their 10 Great New Bands from CMJ and WXPN's Bruce Warren noted MisterWives as a breakout act, with Lee's "charming and exuberant" vocals at the forefront.
