Bergen Performance Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey presents KIX, plus Bergen County's Own DOOMSDAY DIARIES tonight, September 6th, 2013 at 8PM. Tickets are $50, $35, and $25.

KIX was founded in 1978 in Hagerstown, Maryland as The Shooze, then changed its name to The Generators before eventually settling on Kix. They were considered one of Maryland's top cover bands prior to their signing with Atlantic Records in 1981. Though considered by many glam metal, the bands pop-metal stylings drew inspiration from bubblegum pop and new wave as well as hard rock.

In 1981, they debuted with a self-titled album "Kix," featuring "Atomic Bombs," "Heartache," "Contrary Mary","The Itch," "The Kid." "Love at First Sight" instantly became a concert favorite. "KIX Are for Kids" creatively merged the name of the band with two popular cereals of the 1960s and 1970s, KIX (that featured an atomic bomb commercial) and the Trix Rabbit (i.e., "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!"). "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" became the band's most popular concert song, always with a unique ad-lib performance by Whiteman. With this album, the tongue-in-cheek rock & roll style of Kix was established.

DOOMSDAY DIARIES is a progressive/psychedelic ("progedelic") rock band dedicated to re-defining the course of today's rock music scene. Founded in 2009 by the TWINS OF DOOM, now 16 year old twin brothers J VON DOOM (Jason Sproviero) and THE EVIL TWIN (Sean Sproviero), and featuring the incredible vocal talents of ELLA HESTER and Bergen County's Premier High School Drummer, DOMINICK CALABRESE, DOOMSDAY DIARIES' performances focus upon the ethereal, atmospheric compositions of the Twins of Doom.

DOOMSDAY DIAIRES burst on to the Jersey Music Scene in the Spring of 2011 with a triumphant performance at the 2011 BAMBOOZLE MUSIC FESTIVAL at MetLife Stadium. Since then, DOOMSDAY DIARIES has been performing regularly at various Northern New Jersey music venues, including The Bergen PAC, Mexicali Live, Dingbatz and The Stonhope House, as well as several appearances at the legendary STONE PONY. In June, 2012, DOOMSDAY DIARIES was recognized as one of New Jersey's premier high school rock bands upon being named the Grand Prize Winner of the prestigious Fort Lee Film Commission Battle of the High School Bands. In 2013, DOOMSDAY DIARIES has been regularly featured in opening support roles for national touring artists the likes of Taproot, Zebra, Ellen Foley and The Jane Getter Band.

DOOMSDAY DIARIES released its second single, "The Codex", on JUne 21, 2012 to coincide with the occurrence of the Summer Solstice. The Band's full length CD, "Luminology", is expected to be released in the fall of 2013.
