Warner Bros. Records has announced that it will release Settle Down -- the debut U.S. EP from 21-year-old international newcomer Kimbra -- on October 18th, 2011. You can purchase the EP beginning October 18th by clicking here.

The four-song EP includes Kimbra's Australian singles "Settle Down," a rhythmic collage of handclaps, cheeky horn parping, and a ballooning bassline married to an escapist lyric about domesticity, and a remix of "Cameo Lover," which finds Kimbra exploring a soulful, Motown-influenced sound delivered in a fresh way with the help of Aussie hip-hop producer M-Phazes (Pharoahe Monch, Talib Kweli). Both tracks appear on the New Zealand-born singer and songwriter's album Vows (which was released in August in New Zealand and Australia, where it was certified gold) along with "Limbo," and a live cover of Nina Simone's "Plain Gold Ring."
Both "Settle Down" and "Cameo Lover" were playlisted on Australia's nationally networked Triple J radio station, while the "Settle Down" video has racked up more than two million views on YouTube since being posted in July 2010. Kimbra has also attracted widespread media attention Down Under, earning critical notices as an artist to watch in 2011 from several outlets, including Rolling Stone, and features on more than 500 international music blogs.

Kimbra is currently hard at work on her debut album for Warner Bros. Records with such producers and songwriters as Mike Elizondo, Greg Wells, Greg Kurstin, and John Hill with an eye toward a Spring 2012 release.

Kimbra will perform in Los Angeles with Australian singer Gotye at Club Satellite on October 18th. Their hit duet "Somebody That I Used To Know" peaked at No. 1 in Australia (for a record eight weeks), New Zealand, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

On November 27th, Kimbra will attend the 2011 ARIA Awards in Sydney. She has been nominated for "Best Female Artist," as well as featuring on "Best Song" with Gotye for "Somebody That I Used To Know." The ARIA Awards recognize excellence and innovation across all genres of Australian music.

The track-listing for Settle Down is as follows:
"Settle Down"
