KITTEN Releases Their New Single I DID IT Today

Brit-pop-inspired rock band KITTEN releases their highly-anticipated new hit single "I Did It!" today via RED MUSIC off of their upcoming new album. The addicting, infectious and triumphant track sung by lead singer Chloe Chaidez premiered yesterday on Stereogum, with the outlet stating that the song is a "glistening and infectious slice of retro-pop" with "a new urgency underpinning it all." The single is now available across all digital service providers. Click here to listen.

"'I Did It!' was one of the first songs I wrote with the band after returning to New York. The core of the music came in a fit of inspiration, and the words just flowed out of me. The song is both regretful and empowering. It's about the kind of mistake that ends up showing you the way forward. I've made a lot of those. I'm sure there will be more," explains singer Chloe Chaidezabout the track.

KITTEN is performing tonight at The Smell and on Monday, February 19 at School Night in Los Angeles. For more information and to RSVP please click here.

Energized by power pop propulsion, Britpop runway-readiness, sugary sweet hooks, and a whole lot of sexy swagger, KITTEN is strutting into new territory yet again on their upcoming sophomore full-length and first album with RED MUSIC. If Pulp and Roxy Music joined forces to write a score for the movie Blow, it might sound something like the New York quartet. Fronted by Chloe Chaidez, the band have magnetically attracted a diehard fan base since the release of 2014's self-titled Kitten. Not only did the record bow at #9 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, but it also yielded the hit "Cut It Out." Between touring with everyone from No Doubt and Paramore to Charli XCX and Garbage, the group consistently earned the praise of Pitchfork, Noisey, Interview, V Magazine, FADER, Time and more. Their standout 2016 EP, Heaven or Somewhere in Between, landed on Rolling Stone's coveted year-end "20 Best Pop Albums of 2016." Throughout 2017, the musicians quietly assembled what would become their 2018 album in Brooklyn. Self-producing for the first time, they unlocked a new stylistic spectrum, tempering synths and guitars with personal, powerful, and provocative lyrics. Now, the 2018 single "I Did It" properly kicks off this next chapter with teeth and claws out.
