Meet indie-pop band DWNTWN - a band that is sure to be your next obsession. You're welcome, in advance.

With a sound that is, by definition "cross-genre", they have a song suitable for every playlist and every mood. Their most recent single, "Heroine" exposes a more vulnerable and personal side to lyricist and lead singer Jamie Leffler, who penned the song in memory of her late father who passed away due to addiction. The band shared this heart-felt message on their Facebook page. Leading into this next release, DWNTWN promised fans a music video for "Heroine" once they hit 500k Spotify streams. And yesterday, July 23rd, they did just that!

The indie-pop group had somewhat of an interesting formation, considering founding-member Jamie Leffler had broken up with her bandmate's brother before teaming up with co-founding member Robert Cepeda to start DWNTWN. What began as an outlet to express heartbreak quickly turned into a full-time pursuit for the two.
From humble beginnings of recording songs on their iPhones, DWNTWN has now expanded to four-pieces and toured with the likes of Capital Cities and Gold Field. In late April of this year, they released their self-titled EP with Jullian Records - a new, independent label under Sony RED distribution. The debut single, "Til Tomorrow", has even caught the attention of Perez Hilton who calls it "a slice of dreamy heaven."
The band is available for interviews, and we'd love to work with you on an artist spotlight or intro piece. DWNTWN would be glad to support any posts across their socials.
