Indie Alt-Pop Band THE WLDLFE Release First Full-Length Album

Hailing from the forefront of the expanding music scene of Indianapolis, today rising indie alt-pop band THE WLDLFE release their first full-length album I'm Not Worried Anymore, a blissfully contemplative album that confidently walks the tightrope between modern rock influences and pop music appeal as it romantically captures collegiate coming-of-age experiences and relationships.

THE WLDLFE is comprised of frontman Jansen Hogan, guitarist Jason Boucouras, drummer Geoff Jones, bass player Jack Crane, and multi-instrumentalist Carson Hogan. The band defines their sound as cinematic pop using maximalistic production and an honest simplicity to their lyrics. Critics have given them high-praise comparisons to chart-toppers like Jon Bellion and CHVRCHES for their vocal production, while others have drawn correlations to Muse, The Pretenders and even twenty one pilots for their indie-rock compositions.

I'm Not Worried Anymore follows the success of 2016's New and 2017's I.L.Y., finding the band now on the verge of widespread success, with "banger" hits (Ones to Watch)like the Valentine's Day crusher "I Don't Mind" which "itches of LANY and flourishes of The 1975" (Atwood Magazine), and the "head turner" track "Headache" that is "loaded with anticipated drops and unexpected turns" (Ones to Watch). Other previously released singles include the "shimmering heartbreak jam" (Billboard) "Towel" and the "slow-burning" (MXDWN) alternative pop track "Real Ones" that the band recently performed for an intimate showcase with BalconyTV in Los Angeles. The "raw, reflective" (EARMILK) "Dream Pt. II" is one of the album's heaviest hitters that according to frontman Jansen Hogan was "inspired by the things that you know aren't great for you but you can't help but fall into." The album comes to a close with the love-song "June", drawing from the idolized relationship between music legends Johnny Cash and June Carter, and "I'm Not Worried Anymore" - the ethereal and affirmative title track.

"This album for us represents an acknowledgement of although we are not always exactly where we want to be all the time, we aren't anxious or discouraged about the future," share THE WLDLFE. "Sometimes speaking things into existence can make them true and for us we are speaking "I'm not worried anymore" into existence."

On the tour front, THE WLDLFE opened for Halsey last month in their hometown for a sold-out show on her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour. Earlier this week they headlined LA's famous School Night to give west coast fans a sneak peak of the new record, and they'll be back in Indianapolis on September 7th for their album release show at Deluxe. Tickets are available here.

In spring of this year, the band also performed for the Music Cities Forum in Indianapolis, solidifying their place as rallying members of the local emerging music scene. "Indianapolis was probably the best place for us to start this band in my opinion," explains Jansen. "I think that the unique challenges of chasing a career in music in this city has helped us work harder and smarter. We all met in Indianapolis and it will always hold sentimental value to us as we continue to progress as artists and humans."
