Gugu Mbatha-Raw & Minnie Driver Star In Music-Themed BEYOND THE LIGHTSAcclaimed rising stage and screen star Gugu Mbatha-Raw stars alongside recognizable headliners Minnie Driver, Danny Glover and Nate Parker in the new music-themed film BEYOND THE LIGHTS and a first trailer for the film has been released.

The official description of BEYOND THE LIGHTS is as follows: "After winning a Grammy, musician Noni Jean is poised for greatness. In a near-suicidal state brought on by the mounting scrutiny and expectation, she is saved by a police officer, Kaz. The two fall in love, despite pressure from each of their families to focus on their own careers."

BEYOND THE LIGHTS is set to be released November 14.

Of note, beginning in 2005, Mbatha-Raw rose to prominence in the highly acclaimed Manchester productions of William Shakespeare's ROMEO & JULIET and ANTONY & CLEOPATRA after training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Subsequently, she has appeared at the National Theatre in GETHSEMANE as well as appeared in the West End and on Broadway opposite Jude Law in Shakespeare's HAMLET.
