France Rocks SummerFest Reveals June 2018 Line Up

New York City music lovers will get to experience a wonderful array of French produced music this summer when the festival FRANCEROCKS SUMMERFEST returns. The month-longmusic festival-the largest of its kind in the US-will showcase the expansive wealth of multifarious French talent as well as international artists who found in France their inspirational home. Lineup includes over 25 soaring artists spanning genres from indie pop, rock, eclectic world and electronic that spawn an excitingmelting pot of sounds. Free and ticketed shows at over 25 venues range from Central Park Summerstage and Lincoln Center to Brooklyn's Northside Festival and Brooklyn Steel as well as intimate performance spaces throughout New York City. Over the years, FRANCEROCKS has featured such cutting-edge artists as Phoenix, Air, M, IAM, Stromae, CharlElie Couture, Wax Tailor, Angelique Kidjo, La Femme, Yael Naim, Ibeyi, Tony Allen, Ala.Ni, Her, Emilie Simon and Ayo.

Presented by France Rocks and the Bureau Export (the French Music Export Office) with the support from NYMM (New York Music Month) and Lacoste, FRANCEROCKS SUMMERFEST will bring together a mix of acclaimed established artists like Gregory Porter, Bonobo, St Germain, and Meshell Ndegeocello, with buzz bands such as Polo and Pan, Michelle Blades, Juniore, Timsters and Yuksek. Standout shows include three special free evenings of world music coproduced with the Lincoln Center Atrium featuring powerful trio from the French Caribbean Delgres, outstanding Haitian singer Mélissa Laveaux, Cape-Verdian folk artist Elida Almeida and soulful songwriter Piers Faccini. On June 20th, France Rocks' annualFete de la Musique, presented in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, will feature an ebullient lineup with the charismatic articulate voice and visuals of Chassol, the gorgeousVianney and the global DJ Joakim at Central Park SummerStage. Rock blended with African Beats/Synth Pop's Amadou & Mariam will hit Brooklyn Steel on June 6. Kicking it all off on June 1 at the very hip Elsewhere is the blockbuster DJ Zimmer.
