Florence Welch to Publish 'Useless Magic' Book of Lyrics and Poetry

Fig Tree, an imprint of Penguin Books, will publish Florence Welch's first book on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Useless Magic, consisting of collected lyrics and poetry, will be a full color hardback with art derived from Florence's own sketchbooks and will feature some of the things that have inspired her writing, providing readers with a unique insight into her creative process. Florence Welch is one of the most successful singer/songwriters of her generation. Her albums have reached number one across the world, including in the U.K. and the U.S., as well as being nominated for, and winning, multiple awards.

Juliet Annan bought World Rights and said "I have long wanted to persuade Florence to write a book, and this will be a beautiful record of her songs, a glimpse of the ideas that have inspired them, and a first look at her poetry."

Florence Welch said "I am so thrilled to be collaborating with Penguin on my first ever book release. It is such an honor."
