Discovery's Motor Madness Reaches Top Speeds Ranking as Cable's #1 Network Among M25-54 During First-Ever MOTOR MEGA WEEK

Discovery Channel celebrated its own March madness with the network's week-long motor mania event MOTOR MEGA WEEK. From the network that brings you SHARK WEEK every summer, the motor themed week which ran from February 26 - March 5 accelerated Discovery to rank as cable's #1 network in Prime among M25-54, while ranking #2 among P25-54 and M18-49. The STREET OUTLAWS VS. FAST N' LOUD: MEGA RACE special was TV's #2 telecast in M25-54 behind only The Voice, and cable's #1 telecast (excl. sports) across P/M25-54, M18-49, and M18-34 during its March 5 premiere. Throughout the week, Discovery's motor programming reached nearly 18 million Total Viewers (17.91 P2+) across Total Day and was the network's highest-rated week in prime in nearly a year among M25-54 and M18-49.

During MOTOR MEGA WEEK, Discovery claimed more of cable's Top 10 unscripted telecasts (excl. sports) than any other network across M25-54 (7 of the Top 10), M18-49 (8 of the Top 10), and M18-34 (5 of the Top 10), including the STREET OUTLAWS VS. FAST N' LOUD: MEGA RACE special which was #1 in M18-49 and M18-34. The MEGA RACE special also ranks as the #2 unscripted telecast on all of cable so far this year (excl. sports/talk/news) among M18-49, behind the network's own New Year's Day STREET OUTLAWS: BRISTOL Race.

Discovery's series reached ratings milestones during the week with the Monday, February 26 season finale of STREET OUTLAWS: MEMPHIS - the series ranks as the network's highest-rated rookie in two years across P/M25-54, P/M18-49, and P/M18-34. STREET OUTLAWS: NO PREP KINGS premiered on Tuesday, February 27 as Discovery's highest-rated series debut in over two years across M25-54, P/M18-49, and M18-34 and the new series SHIFTING GEARS WITH AARON KAUFMAN debuted on Monday, March 5 as Discovery's highest-rated Monday series debut in over two years among M18-49.
