Darlene Love Returns to Landmark This Valentine's Day

Her name is LOVE, and that's what the audience feels whenever Darlene Love takes the stage. The star of the Academy Award-winning documentary 20 Feet From Stardom and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Darlene Love is an adored American musical icon.

For years Love made holiday guest appearances on the David Letterman Show singing "Baby Please Come Home," and appeared as a special guest during Bruce Springsteen tours.

Since the early '60s as part of Phil Spector's "wall of sound" hit factory, and as the lead singer on "He's a Rebel," Darlene Love has done it all from major motion pictures like the highly successful Lethal Weapon series to Broadway hits like Hairspray and Grease! In the early years, Love's background vocals behind The Righteous Brothers, Dionne Warwick, Marvin Gaye, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Presley set the stage for her emergence as a star in her own right.

Landmark audiences have shown their own love for Darlene, selling out her annual Christmas show at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater for the past six years. This is her first Valentine's show at Landmark.

Rolling Stone Magazine has proclaimed Darlene Love to be "one of the greatest singers of all time" and that certainly rings true, but perhaps Paul Shaffer says it even more concisely: "Darlene Love is Rock N' Roll!"
