Last night, Charlie Puth kicked off the Global Citizen & Cadillac in Concert - The "Accelerator Series" with an intimate performance at Cadillac House. The concert series features exclusive performances and honors leading social entrepreneurs who are driving systemic change and creating solutions to global problems.

On Tuesday evening, Global Citizen and Cadillac House presented the inaugural Global Citizen Accelerator Award to Sanj Sanampudi, CFO of Sanergy, who accepted the award on behalf of David Auerbach, Founder of Sanergy. The startup builds healthy communities by making sanitation sustainable and creating jobs in Kenyan slums.

"We have made such amazing progress on clean drinking water worldwide, but even something as simple as basic access to sanitation still is not a human right for so many people on this planet," said Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen.

Andra Day will perform next on Tuesday, September 19. Tomorrow, we'll announce the third special concert to be held on Thursday, September 21. At each event, a selected social entrepreneur will receive this award and a grant of $10,000 to continue their work. Fans can earn their way into the exclusive events by visiting http://www.globalcitizen.org/acceleratechange and taking action on some of today's most important issues.
